Tinderry Road works update

As part of work to upgrade Tinderry Road, underway from Monday 11 October 2021, materials are being sourced from a borrow pit located approximately 5.5 kilometres from the Burra Road/Tinderry Road intersection.

The ability to use local materials will benefit Tinderry road and provide a more cost effective source of gravel material for this project.

Residents are assured that Council are implementing methods at the pit to control dust, noise and to minimise any impact to local business traffic and other users of Tinderry Road.

Due to the borrow pit being located a small distance away from the worksite, trucks and machinery will be traveling along Tinderry Road to transport materials. While this project is underway, we urge the public keep an eye out for these vehicles.

Due to the size of these vehicles, it may be difficult seeing smaller vehicles around them, so make sure to give way and keep a safe distance.

Expect to see these vehicles operating within Council's standard working hours (Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm) and if required - Saturday (8am - 1pm).
