A toddler has died after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool in Sydney's west tonight.
Just before 8pm (Wednesday 9 January 2019), emergency services were called to a home in Greenbank Drive, Werrington Drowns, after a girl was pulled unconscious from a backyard swimming pool.
The two-year-old girl was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to Nepean Hospital where she died.
Officers from Nepean Police Area Command have established a crime scene at the home and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
