Tom Curran charged with CA Code of Conduct breach

Cricket Australia (CA) advises that Sydney Sixers bowler Tom Curran has been charged with a Level 1 breach of the CA Code of Conduct in the match against Adelaide Strikes on 29 January at the SCG.

Curran was reported for breaching CA's Code of Conduct Article 2.1.4 – showing dissent at an umpires' decision during a match.

The offence occurred during the Sixers innings, when following an appeal for LBW, Curran showed excessive, obvious disappointment with an umpires' decision of not out.

Match Referee Bob Parry considered the umpires' report, and proposed a sanction of a $2,500 fine.

Curran admitted to the offence but disputed the proposed sanction at a disciplinary hearing.

At the hearing the Match Referee revised the sanction with Curran receiving an official reprimand.
