Toowoomba Region residents again urged to avoid driving through floodwaters

Toowoomba Region residents are being urged to avoid driving through dangerous flood waters as southern parts of the region mop up yet again from further rainfall overnight Sunday 3 April.

That's the message from Toowoomba Deputy Mayor Cr Geoff McDonald who said the risks to people of driving through flood waters were simply too great.

"I cannot stress this highly enough - if it's flooded, forget it.

"Council has had multiple reports of people driving through flood waters from the overnight rainfall on Sunday.

"We had two fatal tragedies last week involving people driving through flood waters and unfortunately the message still isn't getting through.
