Motorsport fans and collectors, start your engines because a legendary race car that captured the attention of Supercars enthusiasts nationwide is now officially open with the bidding revving up just days before the auction with many seeking it to be pride of place in their garage or mancave.

This Gen3 Mustang isn't just any car it's the actual race car that Wood drove to glory at Wanneroo a few months ago. This was his first race win in supercars format, and it marked his official arrival as a future star in Australian motorsport.

"We are excited to share the incredible successes and memories we have created with this supercar so far this season with Ryan, but we are also excited for the huge races and achievements to come for the remainder of the season," said Mr. Bruce Stewart, Team Principal for Walkinshaw Andretti United.

"Ryan is in great shape, and we have the race of the year coming up with this very supercar in Bathurst this October so there is another significant opportunity to secure another podium where the car would shoot up in value! It will also be a significant finish to the year, as we finish our journey with Ford, so this really is the last chance to own a WAU Mustang!" Bruce continued.

"Last time we sold a supercar for Walkinshaw Andretti United before the season ended the car was worth double after it raced at Bathurst, so the new owner had made a profit before he even came into possession of the vehicle," said Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer for Lloyds Auctions.

"This is a truly unique opportunity for a motorsports fan to own a genuine piece of racing history. Ryan Wood's performance in this Mustang captured the spirit of competition, and now one lucky bidder will own that legacy," continued Mr. Hames.

The auction includes the full race car with the full race-spec V8 engine that will run for the rest of this year's 2025 Repco Supercars season including the Bathurst 1000 to be raced by Wood and teammate Jayden Ojeda.

This race car not just a collector's item, but an active and relevant experience in motorsport for the remainder of 2025.
