Police have commenced investigations following a fire at Cabramatta tonight, NSW Police say.
Shortly after 11pm (Monday 28 May 2018) emergency services were called to a townhouse on McBurney Road, Cabramatta following reports of a fire.
On arrival officers located smoke and fire emanating from the premises and threatening to spread to adjoining townhouses.
A number of residents nearby were evacuated while Fire & Rescue NSW officers extinguished the blaze which destroyed one townhouse and caused significant damage to another.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
