It is understood the 69-year-old exited the tractor to try and help clear jammed hay from a baler trailer when the vehicle rolled forward and he was struck about 12:30pm.
WorkSafe investigators responded and will determine whether further action is required.
The death is the first confirmed workplace fatality for 2026.
