Traffic and Transport police seize cocaine after crash in Dapto

A man has been charged with drug offences following a three-vehicle crash at Dapto at the weekend, NSW Police say.

Police from Traffic & Highway Patrol and the Police Transport Command were called to the crash on Bong Bong Road about 6.20pm Saturday (27 August 2016).

Acting on information provided, officers searched a vehicle and allegedly located a plastic bag containing white powder; police will allege the powder was cocaine.

A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he was charged with supply a prohibited drug, and possess a prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 14 September 2016.

The attending police were working on Operation Rhino, an initiative between Traffic and Highway Patrol Command and the Proactive Crime Team - Lake Illawara Local Area Command.
