Traffic crash at Bells Creek, QLD

Police are investigating a traffic crash that occurred earlier this morning on the Bruce Highway at Bells Creek, Queensland Police say.

Initial information suggests that a truck rolled on the Bruce Highway on the northbound lanes near the Caloundra turn off at 1am and struck a speed camera.

A second vehicle then struck the rear of the truck as a result of the initial crash.

The two drivers were both extracted from their vehicles and were transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The north bound lanes of the Bruce Highway remain closed and are expected to re-open around 9am while repairs are carried out.

Diversions are in place via Roys Road and people should expect delays if they are travelling in the area.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
