Traffic crash Gateway Motorway in Nudgee, QLD

A man has avoided serious injury following a traffic crash between a truck and a motorcycle in Nudgee today, Queensland Police say.

Initial information suggests around 3.00pm, both vehicles were heading Northbound on the Gateway Motorway at low speed when the motorcyclist lost control and collided with the trailer of a semi-trailer.

The motorcycle became caught in the trailer wheels and the rider has rolled clear of the truck wheels.

The rider, a 25-year-old Scarborough man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening-injuries to his leg.

The driver of the truck, a 63-year-old Murrumba Downs man, was not injured.

Investigations are continuing.
