Traffic crash – Rochedale South

Police are investigating a traffic crash that occurred on the M1 at Rochedale South this morning which saw a 27-year-old man taken to hospital with serious injuries, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 4.40am a minor crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the M1.

A Queensland Fire and Emergencies Services (QFES) truck was stationary in the left lane with its emergency lights activated when a car travelling along the M1 crashed into the rear of vehicle.

The injured driver and sole occupant was entrapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
