Traffic delays expected after collision in Campbelltown

Motorists should expect significant traffic delays on Narellan Road, Campbelltown, after a collision between a police car and another vehicle this afternoon, NSW Police say.

The marked police sedan was travelling on Narellan Road with lights and sirens just after 4.30pm today when it and a black sedan collided at the intersection of Gilchrist Road.

The driver, a male senior constable, suffered minor injuries, while the passenger, also a male senior constable, suffered a number of injuries which are not considered to be life threatening. Both were taken to Liverpool Hospital.

The driver of the other car was uninjured.

Inquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing.

Meanwhile, there are significant delays on Narellan Road and motorists are asked to be patient and to avoid the area if possible.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
