Traffic incident, Mount Gravatt

Police investigating an incident on the Southeast Freeway last Wednesday (February 21) around 9.45am are appealing for any witnesses, Queensland Police say.

Around 9.45am a family travelling northbound in a grey 2016 Mazda CX-3 on the freeway just after the Mains Road on-ramp were involved in an incident with a red 2000 Toyota Hilux.

The red Hilux is alleged to have driven in front of the Mazda causing the driver to have to brake several times to avoid hitting the Hilux.

It is then alleged the driver of the Hilux came to a stop in the middle lane of the highway causing the Mazda to stop behind him. The driver of the Hilux is then alleged to have left his vehicle and approached the other vehicle threatening the driver.

The driver then returned to his vehicle and drove off exiting at the Gaza Road off-ramp a short distance away.

Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed any of the incident or anyone who may have any dashcam vision of the northbound lanes around the time of the incident to contact Policelink on 131 444.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.
