Traffic stop leads to arrest of wanted pair, SA

Two people have been arrested following a simple traffic stop at Kent Town yesterday afternoon, according to SA Police.

Just before 2.30pm, Wednesday 4 October, police conducted a traffic stop on a car travelling on Fullarton Road after checks revealed the occupants may be suspects in a recent theft matter.

Police spoke to the male driver and female passenger and had cause to search their vehicle. Police will allege they located a number of power tools in the car and suspected they may have been obtained unlawfully.

Further investigation revealed they had been stolen from an auto parts business at Evanston on Saturday 23 September.

Police arrested the pair, a 38-year-old Willaston woman and a 36-year-old man from no fixed place of abode and charged them both with theft and unlawful possession they were refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
