Trailbike rider dies after single-vehicle crash at Blacktown

An investigation is underway after a trailbike rider died in a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's west today.

About 1.20pm (Monday 10 February 2020), emergency services were called to Robert Brown reserve on the corner of Fluchombe Road and the Great Western Highway, at Blacktown, following reports a trailbike rider had struck a barrier and fallen off.

On arrival, officers from Blacktown Police Area Command located a 23-year-old man seriously injured next to the trailbike.

Despite attempts by officers and paramedics to revive the man, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established, and officers have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
