Train hits abandoned Ute in Calomba, SA

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision between a train and a Ute last night in the Barossa, according to SA Police.

At about 10.25pm Friday 6 October, a freight train travelling between Perth and Melbourne collided with an abandoned white Holden Utility which was left unattended on the track at the junction of Calomba Road and Broster Road, Calomba.

The Utility suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene, and the train was able to continue on its way after a short delay with only minor damage having been caused.
