Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) today endorsed the popular pick, Option 2, as the preferred external façade for the new Highfields Library and Community Centre at the December Ordinary Meeting of Council. (December 17, 2019)
TRC Library and Cultural Services portfolio leader Cr Joe Ramia said the sleek, modern design features of Option 2 had overwhelmingly won the public vote for the new library's external façade.
Cr Ramia said Option 2 was the clear winner with 391 votes, or 80%, of the 490 votes cast during the public voting period in October/November this year.
"Council appreciates the interest shown by the public and thanks residents for taking the time to vote for their preferred façade design," Cr Ramia said.
