Trio charged over fires at Salisbury Park, South Australia

Police have arrested three people for allegedly lighting fires at Salisbury Park yesterday afternoon.

About 3.30pm on Sunday 6 December, Police and MFS were called to Harry Bowey Reserve after reports of a number of grass fires in the area. Witnesses reported to police seeing three people leave the scene of one of the fires.

Police door-knocked the local area and were able to obtain CCTV footage. Officers identified the three suspects and located them in a vehicle nearby where they were subsequently arrested.

A 24-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, all from Salisbury Park, were charged with causing a bushfire. They were refused bail and are expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
