Trio charged over Reservoir incident

Three youths have been charged following an incident which occurred in Reservoir this morning.

It is alleged the three attended a service station on Gilbert Road about 4.25am and were involved in a verbal altercation with staff.

The trio allegedly stole pies and other items and smashed a window with a bottle.

The group left the store and attended a nearby bakery where they were involved in another verbal altercation with staff.

Police were called and the teens arrested but not before a member suffered an injury to his hand.

A 16-year-old boy from Heidelberg West was charged with burglary, theft, criminal damage and resist police.

A 17-year-old boy from Greenvale was charged with burglary, theft, criminal damage and obstruct police.

Another 16-year-old boy was charged with burglary and theft.

All have been bailed to appear at a Children's Court at a later date.
