Detectives from South East Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested three youths following an aggravated armed robbery at a convenience store on Liverpool Street in Hobart last night.
Police will allege three youths entered the store wearing face coverings and assaulted the male staff member with a hammer before stealing the till containing a quantity of cash.
The staff member received medical treatment at the Royal Hobart Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and he has since been discharged.
The three youths - aged 14, 16 and 16 - will be detained in custody while investigations continue.
