A male driver has blown more than three times the limit after he was spotted crashing into roadworks signage in Pakenham early this morning.
Members of the public spotted the Toyota corolla weaving across lanes while travelling through roadworks on Clyde Road, taking out numerous bollards just before 3am.
Pakenham uniform members responded and attempted to pull over the vehicle, which allegedly failed to stop.
Officers followed the 47-year-old Pakenham man to his front doorstep where they took him into custody.
He underwent a breath test, returning an alleged reading of .171.
Police impounded his vehicle and he was charged with fail to stop for police and drink driving offences.
