Truck and two car crash, NSW

Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash at Mount Ousley this afternoon, NSW Police say.

About 2pm today, emergency services were called to Mount Ousley Road, Mount Ousley, following reports of a crash involving a prime mover with dog trailer and two cars.

The female passenger of one of the cars suffered serious injuries and was trapped for a short time. She was released and taken to Wollongong Hospital.

The male driver of that vehicle was also taken to hospital for mandatory testing. His injuries are not known.

The five occupants of the second car were all taken to Wollongong Hospital. Their injuries are also not known.

The driver of the truck was uninjured. He has also been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Crash Investigation Unit are in attendance and all southbound lanes beyond New Mount Pleasant Road remain closed as the scene is examined.
