Truck crash in Revesby

Police are investigating a single truck crash at Revesby this morning, NSW Police say.

About 12.20am tomorrow, police and emergency services were called to Canterbury Road near The River Road following reports a truck had crashed.

On arrival, officers found a semi-trailer truck had crashed into two electricity poles.

Officers commenced CPR when the driver of the truck, a man in his 60s, was found unconscious at the scene.

He was assessed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition where he is undergoing surgery.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Canterbury Road will be closed while emergency services deal with the damaged electricity poles and the removal of the truck.

Local traffic diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area and refer to www.livetraffic.com for updated traffic information.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
