Truck driver caught drug driving in Colac East

A truck driver was allegedly caught drug driving and in possession of what's believed to be a knuckle duster at Colac East this morning.

Colac Highway Patrol officers set up a preliminary testing site on the Princes Highway when they intercepted the truck just before 11am.

The truck driver, a 35-year-old man, was not wearing a seatbelt and returned a positive road-side drug test.

His truck was also defective and police located a prohibited weapon inside the vehicle.

The Bell Park man is expected to be charged on summons with drug driving and other traffic related offences.
