Truck Driver Charged After Fatal Crash - Greenacre

A truck driver has been charged following a fatal crash in Sydney's southwest earlier this year.

About 7.30pm on Thursday 20 March 2025, police were called to Bellfrog Street, Greenacre, following reports of a workplace incident.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and found a man had been hit by a truck.

The man, aged 51, died at the scene.

The driver, aged 63, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced into the circumstances of the crash.

Following an investigation by officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit, about 12.00pm today (Wednesday 17 December 2025), a 63-year-old man was arrested at Mount Druitt Police Station.

The man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death - drive manner dangerous.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Mt Druitt Local Court on Friday 19 December 2025.
