Truckie arrested after diesel thefts in Keilor Downs

A truck driver was arrested today after he allegedly stole diesel worth more than $10,000 from servos in the Keilor Downs area.

Keilor Downs police intercepted a prime mover in Keilor Downs about 11am this morning and arrested the male driver aged in his 30s.

His prime mover was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $2,600.

The Deer Park man is expected to be charged on summons with theft, possess a drug of dependence, use unregistered motor vehicle, drive whilst disqualified and state false name and address.
