Two arrested after break-in and car stolen at Somerton Park, South Australia

Two people have been arrested after a break-in at Somerton Park, where a car was stolen.

Police will allege that about 11am, patrols were called to a house in Scarborough Street after reports that two men had gained entry to a house, threatened the residents and stole keys to a BMW sedan.

The residents, a man and woman were home at the time of the incident, but were not injured.

Police briefly pursued the BMW in Mile End before requesting the police helicopter PolAir to track the stolen car.

The BMW travelled throughout the metropolitan area out to Alma Terrace at Woodville West, where it was dumped and the two occupants fled to a nearby house in Northcote Lane where they were arrested.

An 18-year-old Glanville man and a 19-year-old Port Adelaide man will face numerous charges including aggravated serious criminal trespass, illegal use of a motor vehicle and engaging a police pursuit.
