Two people have been arrested after a police officer was assaulted during a brawl at a bar in Broadway – in Sydney's CBD – today.
About 5.15pm (Sunday 31 August 2025), officers from Sydney City Police Area Command were called to the bar on Broadway, following reports of a group of people at the bar who were yelling offensively at passersby before a brawl ensued.
Police arrived and attempted to disperse the group, when an officer was assaulted by two people.
Two men, aged 29 and 48, were arrested.
The younger man was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and the other man to Day Street Police Station.
The officer – a male constable – suffered minor injuries.
