Two arrested after pursuit with a stolen car, SA

Two men have been arrested after a pursuit in a stolen car early this morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 1.30am, Tuesday 27 September, patrols spotted a white Suzuki they knew had been stolen the night before of Porter Street, Elizabeth Vale.

They attempted to stop the car on John Rice Avenue but the driver failed to stop and a short pursuit commenced through back streets. The car stopped a couple of minutes later on Kelly Terrace, two people ran from the vehicle. Patrols chased the men arresting them without incident.

A 25-year-old Salisbury man, the alleged driver was charged with illegal use, engaging in police pursuit and driving with an expired licence. The alleged passenger a 17-year-old teen from Salisbury was charged with illegal use.

Both men have been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 4 November.
