Two teenage boys have been arrested following a short police pursuit with a stolen Commodore this morning at Taperoo, according to SA Police.
Just after 8.30am on Sunday 26 November a Western Adelaide patrol spotted a stolen white Commodore travelling south on Victoria Road.
The patrol pursued the stolen car into Willochra Street and then Mersey Road, where the car was dumped near Wandilla Street with the two youths seen running from the car.
Police including Operation Mandrake patrols set up cordons around the area locating the two youths after a short search.
The driver of the stolen car, a 14-year-old boy from Taperoo was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, illegal use, driving to evade police and driving unlicensed.
While the passenger, a 15-year-old boy from Largs Bay was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and illegal use.
The 14-year-old youth was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court tomorrow, while the 15-year-old boy was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
The 2006 white Holden Commodore which was stolen from a North Haven home overnight while the occupants were asleep, received minor damage when it rolled into a post after being dumped on Mersey Road.
There were no injuries.
