Two Arrested And Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Brunswick

Two girls have been arrested after an allegedly stolen car was dumped in Brunswick East early this morning.

Officers on patrol spotted an allegedly stolen blue Toyota Camry on Bell Street in Preston just before 2am.

Police kept eyes on the Toyota as it drove through Thornbury and Brunswick East.

It's alleged the occupants of the Toyota dumped the car on Stewart Street and took off on foot.

With the assistance of the dog squad, police moved in and arrested two girls aged 14 and 16.

Both girls will be interviewed by investigators.

There were no injuries.

It is alleged the Toyota was stolen from a Bulleen address last week.

The investigation remains ongoing.
