Two arrested following aggravated break and enter in Greystanes

Two men have been arrested following an aggravated break and enter in Sydney’s west today, NSW Police say.

Just before 11am today, emergency services were called to Jersey Road, Greystanes, following reports of an injured man and robbery.

Police have been told two men, armed with a firearm and knife, forced entry to a home and threatened and assaulted a 60-year-old man inside.

The injured man suffered facial injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

The intruders left in a Volkswagen Utility.

Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

A short time later, about 11.40am, police observed a Volkswagen Utility on Excelsior Street, Guildford.

Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the two male occupants.

The men were taken to Merrylands Police Station where they are assisting police with inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
