Homicide Squad detectives have arrested two people following a fatal stabbing in Doveton last night, Victoria Police say.
A 20-year-old man and a 18-year-old man, both from Doveton, were arrested at a property in Doveton around midday.
They will now be interviewed by police.
The arrests following the death of a 23-year-old Doveton man last night.
Emergency services were called to Linden Place shortly before 9.20pm on 19 July following reports of an altercation between two groups of men.
One of the men sustained wounds to his upper body and was treated by paramedics, however he died at the scene.
Local police will also conduct a number of patrols through the local area over the coming days and will be speaking with local residents about any concerns they may have.
