Two arrested for threats and firearms offences, SA

Two people were arrested last night for allegedly threatening a man known to them with a firearm earlier this month, according to SA Police.

It will be alleged the pair threatened the man with weapons, including a firearm, at a residential premises in Mansfield Park on Friday 3 June.

The people involved are all known to each other and this was not a random incident. There were no injuries.

Western Adelaide Police last night attended a Mansfield Park address and seized two sawn-off rifles, ammunition and a taser. A 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from Mansfield Park, were arrested and charged with aggravated threats to cause harm, possess unregistered firearms, possess prescribed firearms, possess prohibited weapon and ammunition offences.

They were refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today, Friday 16 June.
