Two car crash in Lansdowne

Investigations are underway following a two-car crash at Lansdowne this morning, NSW Police say.

About 3.45am tomorrow, police and emergency services attended the Hume Highway at Lansdowne, about 100m south of The Horsley Drive.

On arrival, they found two cars – a silver Toyota Corolla and a white Toyota Corolla – in trees on the median strip of the Hume Highway.

Both drivers were trapped for a short time before being released by Fire & Rescue NSW crews.

Both men have been taken to Liverpool Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

Police from Fairfield Local Area Command have established a crime scene while they investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Local traffic diversions are in place but are expected to be released shortly once the vehicles have been removed.
