Two-car crash in Lilyfield

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a two-car crash on the City West Link at Lilyfield yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just after 9pm today, police and emergency services were called to the City West Link and Catherine Street, following reports of a crash between a car and a taxi.

A man aged in his 50s driving the taxi was trapped for a short time before being released by officers from Fire & Rescue NSW and Police Rescue.

He was assessed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

A woman aged in her 40s driving the other car was also assessed at the scene for minor injuries and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
