Two cars and house damaged in crash - Marayong

Police are investigating a crash at Marayong which may be alcohol-related.

About 11.40pm (Saturday 15 June 2019), a 68-year-old man drove a Toyota Landcruiser at speed from the driveway of a home on Percy Street, Marayong.

The vehicle entered the front yard of a home opposite and collided with a Holden Barina, which was parked stationary in that home's driveway.

The Barina was pushed into the front yard of a neighbouring home, and the Landcruiser then rolled, impacting the corner of the home.

The driver of the Landcruiser was trapped for about 30 minutes before being freed by emergency services.

The man was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive reading. He was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to an injured finger.

A blood sample was obtained from the driver at hospital.

Officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command continue with inquiries into the incident. They will await the results of the blood test to determine what further action is taken.
