Two cars stolen and credit card used in Nagambie

Mitchell Crime Investigation Unit detectives are hoping to identify a thief after two cars were stolen in Nagambie last month, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a white utility and a Ford Territory were both stolen from a property on Heathcote-Nagambie Road, sometime overnight on Wednesday 22 November.

The white ute was found a short time later burnt out on Sunday Creek Road, near Broadford-Wandong Road, in Sunday Creek.

A red ute was seen parked near the burnt out ute and investigators are keen to speak to the owner.

Detectives believe a credit card stolen from the Ford Territory was used at a supermarket in North Coburg on 23 November to purchase puppy food.

The Ford Territory was also used during a burglary at a business on High Street about 3.20am on 24 November where two safes’ containing cash were stolen.

The Territory was found later that morning burnt out at Telegraph Road and Goulburn Valley Highway in Seymour.

Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

They have also released an image of the red ute seen parked near the burnt out ute at Sunday Creek in the hope the owner of that vehicle will contact police.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
