Two charged after domestic violence-related incident, inquiries continue in Busby

Two men have been charged and inquiries are continuing after a domestic violence-related incident in Sydney’s south west yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3am yesterday, two men and a male youth, all armed, attended a unit block on Brubri Street, Busby.

Police will allege the 17-year-old boy, armed with a baseball bat, was involved in an argument with a 15-year-old girl outside the house.

During the argument, it’s alleged the youth struck a car parked next door with the baseball bat.

A 33-year-old man came out to investigate and was involved in a physical altercation with the three males, before they fled.

Officers from Green Valley Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, two men – aged 18 and 23 – were arrested at a home on Horsley Road, Horsley Park.

Police searched the home and seized a baseball bat and clothing.

The men were taken to Green Valley Police Station and were both charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence.

The older man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.

The younger man was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Thursday 6 April 2017.

Inquiries are continuing.
