Two Charged After Drugs, 20+ Firearms Seized

Mill Park Divisional Response Unit officers charged a man and a woman after over 20 firearms were allegedly seized during the execution of a search warrant in Strathmore on Monday.

The warrant was executed at a residential property on Peck Avenue on Monday 29 December about 9.50am.

Police allegedly seized 23 firearms and other items including:

  • AR 15 semi-automatic rifle
  • Automatic pistols
  • Revolvers
  • Luger pistol
  • 3D printed handguns
  • Several broken down double-barrelled shotguns
  • Firearm related items including a silencer and 400 rounds of ammunition
  • Ketamine, MDMA, cocaine, LSD and heroin

A 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Strathmore were arrested and interviewed by police.

Both were charged with traffick large commercial quantity of ketamine, traffick large commercial quantity of amphetamine, traffick commercial quantity of cocaine, possess trafficable quantity of firearms.

The duo will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
