Two charged after two men stabbed at Rooty Hill, NSW

Two men will face court tomorrow after two men were stabbed at a home in Sydney’s west today, NSW Police say.

About 8am (Thursday 4 January 2018), emergency services were called to a home in Tillford Grove at Rooty Hill, following reports two men had been stabbed.

On arrival, officers from Mt Druitt Local Area Command found a 34-year-old man with wounds to his leg and a 60-year-old man with a groin wound.

Police will allege the men had been assaulted by two men armed with a firearm and knives during an altercation at the home.

The men were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital. The younger man has since been released and the older man underwent surgery and remains in a stable condition.

About 8.30am, officers from the Mount Druitt Proactive Team saw a BMW on Durham Street, Mount Druitt.

Following a pursuit, two men were arrested and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station.

A 32-year-old man was charged with specially aggravated enter dwelling with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, two counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and acquire pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order.

A 35-year-old man was charged with specially aggravated enter dwelling with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possess loaded firearm public place, possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, and two counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both men were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Friday 5 January 2018).
