Two charged following brawl at Newtown, NSW

Two men have been charged and another man received facial injuries during a brawl in Sydney’s inner west overnight, NSW Police say.

Just after midnight tomorrow, police attended a licensed premise in King Street Newtown following reports of a brawl.

Two men, aged 24 and 19, were arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station and have each been charged with affray.

Both men were granted bail to appear In Newtown Local Court on 27 July 2017.

Another man, believed to be in his 20s, was treated at the scene for facial injuries, before taking him to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
