Two charged following investigation into drug supply in state's north, NSW

A man and a woman have been charged following an investigation into the supply of drugs in the state’s north, NSW Police say.

In March 2016, detectives from Richmond Local Area Command established Strike Force Loth to investigate the alleged supply of "ice" and cannabis in Kyogle and surrounding areas.

About 6pm on Friday (9 September 2016), following investigations, strike force detectives executed simultaneous search warrants at three homes, allegedly seizing drugs, a firearm and other items and arrested a man and woman.

-At a home on Old Mill Road, Roseberry, officers seized 39 cannabis plants, cannabis, an air rifle, ammunition and other items. At this home a 43-year-old woman was arrested.

-At a home on Roseberry Creek Road, Roseberry Creek, officers seized 140 cannabis plants, cannabis, a .22 calibre rifle magazine, and other items. At 9:20pm a 61-year-old man was arrested near the home.

- At a separate home on Old Mill Road, Roseberry, officers seized cannabis, a firearm magazine, ammunition and other items.

The man and woman were taken to Lismore Police Station and were each charged with supply commercial quantity of prohibited drugs, and supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.

Both were refused bail and appeared at Lismore Local Court on 10 September, 2016.

About 12pm (12 September 2016) a 21-year-old man was arrested at a property in Old Mill Road, Roseberry. He was taken to Lismore Police Station and is currently assisting with inquiries.
