Two charged over break and enters, Gold Coast

A man and woman have been arrested in relation to approximately 60 burglaries across the Gold Coast, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged that the pair forced entry to a number of cars, homes and businesses from late 2017 to yesterday, specifically targeting cosmetic studios and beauty salons and stealing items such as professional makeup products and equipment.

Detectives attended a private residence at Varsity Lakes yesterday morning, where it’s alleged they found a large volume of property suspected of being stolen (pictured below).

A 31-year-old woman of no fixed address and a 29-year-old Varsity Lakes man have each been charged with 15 counts of break and enter, six counts of receiving tainted property, five counts of stealing, one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of possessing stolen property.

Both are scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today, Tuesday July 19.

Investigations are continuing and further charges are expected.
