Two charged with sexual assault of girl at Brookvale, NSW

Two men have been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a girl on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, NSW Police say.

The 12-year-old girl was approached by two men at Freshwater Beach about 3pm on Thursday (21 April 2016).

It will be alleged the men drove the girl to a location in Brookvale where they both sexually assaulted her.

Police were alerted and officers from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, detectives arrested two men at Brookvale about 3pm yesterday.

The men – aged 22 and 25 – were taken to Manly Police Station.

The 25-year-old was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual intercourse; while the 22-year-old was charged with one count of aggravated sexual intercourse.

Both were bail refused and appeared in court today where they were remanded in custody to appear at Central Local Court on 28 April 2016.
