Two critically injured after serious crash, man charged in Goulburn

A man has been charged after four people were injured – two critically – in a crash at Goulburn last night, NSW Police say.

Just after 11pm yesterday, a Mitsubishi mobile home and a b-double collided on the Hume Highway at Yarra, about 20km south of Goulburn.

As a result of the crash, the Mitsubishi rolled and hit a tree and a 13-year-old boy was thrown from the vehicle.

The driver, a 43-year-old man, the front passenger, a 38-year-old woman, and fourth passenger, an 11-year-old boy, were all treated at the scene.

They were taken to Canberra Hospital where the 13-year-old boy remains in a critical and unstable condition.

The woman remains in a critical but stable condition.

The man was treated for a shoulder injury and the 11-year-old boy was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the b-double, a 46-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory blood and alcohol testing.

He was released from hospital and taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm-drive manner dangerous, two counts of cause bodily harm by misconduct of a motor vehicle and negligent driving (occasions grievous bodily harm).

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Friday 17 February 2017.
