Two dead after crash at Menangle Park

A woman and child have died following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south-west.

Emergency services were called to the Hume Motorway, Menangle Park, about 11.20am today (Monday 13 March 2023), and found a northbound cement truck and a silver SUV crashed in the northbound lanes.

The female driver and a child died at the scene.

A Toll helicopter landed a medical team nearby and is assisting NSW Ambulance paramedics treating a second child.

The man driving the truck was not physically injured. He's been taken for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command have established a crime scene which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
