Two people have died after a crash in the state's central west.
About 2:20pm today (Sunday 24 August 2025), emergency services were called to Canowindra Road, Canowindra, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Chifley Police District attended and found a B-double truck and a sedan had collided head on – and the truck rolled onto its side.
The driver of the sedan – a 67-year-old man – and passenger – 63-year-old woman – died at the scene.
The truck driver – a 30-year-old man – was by assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced into the circumstances of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
