Two dead after truck crashes north of Gloucester, NSW

Two people have died after a truck crashed and caught fire 40km north of Gloucester this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Thunderbolts Way at Giro, after a southbound truck ran off the roadway and crashed about 4.30am tomorrow.

It’s believed two people were travelling in the truck at the time; they died at the scene.

They have not been identified.

Police cannot yet confirm what the truck was carrying.

Motorists are advised Thunderbolts Way remains open; however, there is a significant emergency response on-site as forensic officers examine the scene and the salvage operation begins.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
