Two people have died after a crash in the Hunter Valley overnight, NSW Police say.
The crash happened about 6.30pm (Saturday 18 August 2018), when a Commodore and a Ford ute collided about 15km west of Muswellbrook.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District believe the sedan was turning right into Bengalla Road when it was involved in a crash with the ute at the intersection of Wybong Road at Castle Rock.
The driver, a 20-year-old woman, and passenger, a 22-year-old man, both from Singleton, travelling in the sedan, died at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 35-year-old Muswellbrook man, sustained facial lacerations and was taken to John Hunter Hospital. He has also undergone mandatory testing.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information about the crash to call Muswellbrook Police or Crime Stoppers.
